What to expect

The studio is yours

Free Training is 90 minutes of unsupervised open practice time — no instruction, no structure, just you and the space. Use the full facility and equipment to train at your own pace, on your own terms.

This isn't a class. There is no instructor present, no warm-up led for you, and no spotting available. You decide what to work on, how hard to push, and when to rest. It's self-directed training time for students who already know how to use the equipment safely and can manage their own practice with good judgment.

Free Training runs Monday evenings from 19:30 to 21:00 — right after the last scheduled class — and is offered at no cost as a training perk for current and experienced students. Drop in when you want the extra mat time.

Minors must have a parent or guardian present on the premises for the duration of the session.

Skills learned

This session is what you make of it

Because there is no instruction, what you work on is entirely up to you. Here's how students typically use the time:

Skill refinement & repetition — Drill the techniques you've been learning in class — handstands, cartwheels, rolls, walkovers, combinations. Repetition is where skills become second nature, and open practice gives you the uninterrupted time to build that consistency.

Conditioning & strength work — Run through your conditioning exercises, core work, and acrobatics-specific strengthening routines. Train at your own intensity without fitting into a group class structure.

Flexibility & stretching — Use the space and time for deep stretching sessions — splits, bridges, backbends, mobility work. Go at your own pace without the time constraints of a structured class.

Routine & sequence practice — If you're preparing for a performance or competition, use the floor space to rehearse full routines, practice transitions, and build stamina through complete run-throughs.

Maintaining training between classes — Stay active and keep skills sharp between your regular weekly sessions. Consistent practice — even self-directed — makes a measurable difference in long-term progression.

Important: Free Training is not the place to attempt new high-risk skills for the first time. Without a spotter or instructor, stick to skills you can already perform safely and independently. Save new skill attempts for your coached sessions.

Prerequisites

This is not a beginner session

Free Training is designed for students who have enough training experience to practice safely without coaching.

Child under 18 yrs should be supervised by parent at all times.

Your child cannot train alone. This is a free training without coaching but must be supervised.

Experience required: You must be able to assess your own capabilities, select appropriate skills, warm up independently, and make sound decisions about risk. If you're unsure whether you're ready for unsupervised training, ask your instructor during a regular class.

Age: Open to all ages. However, minors (under 18) must have a parent or guardian present on the premises for the entire session. The parent does not need to participate but must be available and supervising.

Responsibility: Participants train entirely at their own risk. You are responsible for your own warm-up, cool-down, skill selection, and safety. No instructor oversight or spotting is available during this session.

What to wear: Standard training attire — fitted athletic clothing, no jewelry, hair tied back, barefoot.

What to bring: Water bottle, any personal training equipment you use (resistance bands, wrist wraps, etc.), and a plan for what you want to work on.

Cost: Free. No booking required — just show up on Monday evenings between 19:30 and 21:00. Please let your teacher know that you are coming ahead of time.

Not suitable for: Learning new skills you haven't been taught in a coached setting, high-risk skill attempts without a spotter, or first-time visitors to the studio.
