Mini Acro is a 45-minute weekly class for children ages 5–6 who are ready to step onto the mat independently and discover what their bodies can do.
This is where the foundations of circus acrobatics are built. Through a playful, age-appropriate approach, children learn their first real tumbling skills — forward and backward rolls, bridges, cartwheels, handstands, and headstands — alongside an introduction to circus props like juggling equipment and balance tools. Every skill is taught through games, obstacle courses, and creative movement, because at this age, the best learning happens when it doesn't feel like a lesson.
Mini Acro runs at two levels. Monday's class is designed for beginners — children who are new to acrobatics or just transitioning from parent-child classes. Thursday's class is for progression, building on basic mini acro skills with more challenge and complexity. Both sessions follow the same playful philosophy but meet children where they are developmentally.
What makes this class a true stepping stone is what's happening underneath the fun. Children are developing body awareness, spatial orientation, and the tumbling fundamentals that are essential for every circus discipline they might pursue later. They're also learning to follow instructions in a group, take turns, manage their own safety awareness, and build confidence through independent achievement — skills that matter far beyond the studio.
The instructor assesses developmental readiness during the first sessions to confirm each child is in the right group. Parents must stay on premises but are not in the training space, giving children the room to grow while keeping you close by.
Classes run once per week on Mondays and Thursdays (17:35–18:20) as part of an 18-week semester. Students enrol in one or both sessions. A progress update is provided mid-semester, and one makeup class is available per semester.
